Yeah, I was referring specifically to New Super Mario Bros. and its sequels/spinoffs, Ques, which aren't even made by the same developers of the other Mario games, but some B-team that Nintendo bought; they just feel really lazy and uninspired to me and the BAH-BAAAH's just push it over the edge.

Have you played Mario 3D Land, MuppetFace?  I really enjoyed that one. 

I have yet to play Sunshine, but have always wanted to.  Actually, imma check Amazon for it right now...  Edit: I'll have it in 4-14 business days.

Ahh, I see. Not new Super Mario Bros., but New Super Mario Bros. Fortunately, I haven't played any of those.

And yeah, I think Mario 64 was just so revolutionary. The 3D platforming gameplay, the new analog stick control, and the free roaming "grab bag" (in your words) aspect of it. I couldn't help but be enamored with it when it came out. Although, now that you mention it, Mario did control like he was on skates.

My expectations were so high, I couldn't help but be disappointed with Super Mario Sunshine. But it was still a VERY good game, and I played through it at least twice. Just wasn't as floored as I was with Mario 64.

Anyway, back to the original point. A new Mario game would be worth the price ad admission for the Wii U. $350 for a new Mario game and system would bring me much more enjoyment than, say, a Pro 900  :P

My copy of Halo 4 is just sitting in a drawer right now. Had it since launch and I still haven't played it once yet. Hoping that I'll have time this weekend. So the Didact is going to be in the game? Seems like a lot of the good stuff mentioned in the novels are being brought into the game. I did like the forerunner trilogy a lot, although it could just be because Greg Bear is an excellent writer.

Was just enjoying Halo 4 at my friend's place and I thought the multiplayer maps are beautiful, been quite a long time since I played the game(last was Halo 2 on my old Xbox) Not buying into the wii U but hopefully the next gen of consoles come out mid next year or something.

AFAIK, the Mario Bros. game is going to be released with the Wii U next week on launch. That and some zombie game taking place in London.

Re: enemy AI in Dishonored: seems like it was a glitch or something, because I've had enemies react to fallen comrades now. Or maybe it's just they ignore sleeping ones? The maid freaked out when she discovered her friend with his head cut clean off. Hmm...

tried the WiiU briefly yesterday at a store, seems quite ergonomic for being such a big weird controller thing. screen is quite nice too. but this was from using it for about 10 minutes... I'm definitely interested, as I have no regular Wii and some games on that one are so much fun.

Refuse to buy any console named after baby noises and slang words for piss on general principle. At the very least, I'll wait for the Nintendo Goo-Goo Gaa-Gaa Wee-Wee Doo. Probably 2 or 3 generations from now. Complete with Legend of Zelda 127.
