Oh, is anyone playing Assassin's Creed 3 now? How is it?

I just finished Dishonored. I thought it was an amazing game. I was surprised by how much it reminded me of Metal Gear Solid (in a good way), but it also pulls a lot from Bioshock and Assassin's Creed.

What does everyone play on, primarily? Anyone into building gaming rigs? Crazy home theater setups?

I'm playing through Dishonored now. There seems to be a lot of similarities to Assassin's Creed, but it has it's own character. I expected it to be like the Elder Scrolls games because it was published by Bethesda but I guess I was wrong!

I play on a 24-inch monitor with HDMI input, source is either the PS3 or an Asus ROG laptop. Audio is through an Astro Mixamp for dolby headphone, and an ATH-AD900. Simple and cheap but it does the job :)

I'm looking forward to the new tomb rider and new gears of war. Recently, I got tired of hours of adventure games like darksider 2 and just want something dynamic fast and exciting the like of uncharted series

Getting back to games like Battlefield from Dead Space is embarrassingly disorientating for me as I get the habit of aiming for non vitals. I have been playing a bunch of fighter games(which I admit I'm not great at) on my computer lately, mainly games like Street Fighter X Tekken and other independently made 2d fighters.

On the console front I have been playing Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Persona 4 Arena. I'm also picking up DOA5 to play when they resolve the bugs and balance with multiplayer.

I'm most looking forward to Deadspace 3 probably Battlefield 4(its in beta) and a international server for Phantasy Star Online 2. I wanted to play the Japanese servers but its kinda crowded but the people in there from what I know are pretty nice.

Is D3 really that bad? How so?

A quick 3-part video explaining why:

I've been buying a lot of 16-bit games from StoneAgeGamer and some other places lately and am slowly working my way way through Yoshi's Island.  I should have 2 six-button controllers and a ton of games coming for my Genesis soon, which should be good times too.

As for new stuff, I've been playing Pokemon Black 2 every now and then, which is alright for the freedom it allots you relative to the last couple of games and Hotline Miami, which I'd recommend to anyone who likes great games.  While I've always been a fan of its creator, Cactus, I was really surprised just how tight it manages to be, since I wouldn't say that of his indie efforts thus far-- every little action has immediate, gratifying (even when you loose) consequences.  Playing it safe evokes tension as you wait for enemies to line up just right and playing recklessly is just amazing (and rewarding if you do it right!)  I have trouble thinking of a 3 dimensional game that has such a smooth, yet crunchy feel to it.

Play mostly on a computer rig I've built myself: everything just runs smoother.

Any Zelda fans here? I see no other reason to get Nintendo consoles... Well the Metroid Primes were pretty amazing on GC.

120 hours on Borderlands 2 at the moment. Shootin' n' lootin'.

Having put so many hours into the Mass Effect saga before the end of 3rd was the biggest let down for me in my gaming history. Nothing mattered in the end. Though I've yet to play even the free DLC to alter the ending... Will get around to that.

One of the better gaming experiences has indeed been Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Cliché-ish conspiracy theory, but with a twist and it's interesting to boot. The DLC was excellent as well.

Also, props to MF digging REZ. (Remember you having mentioned this elsewhere)   :)p3

I like Zelda games, but I also like Mario (3D Land most recently) and Pocket Men.

I ordered a Sega Saturn with a whole bunch of accessories yesterday, but I have no idea what I want to play on it.  I received Halo 4 from UPS this morning as well, but haven't had a chance to play it yet.  I'm disappointed by how Metroid Prime-esque the new enemies look from the trailers I've seen, but it seems like 343 designed their AIs and individual abilities well.

I've never liked Halo games (even the first two) except for some fun split screen action. But probably the most boring campaigns ever   :vomit:

Still, I'll probably get the 4th at some point when its price drops.

I liked Mario Galaxies, but got bored of the NSMB's quite quickly. I'm probably not just hardcore enough for them :)

Anyone getting a Wii U? Should I even bother?

I've gotten every game system since the original Playstation by default, but get the feeling that this one will be a flop. But then again, I'm always a fan of Nintendo's first party games, no matter how old I get.

I bought a Wii not more than a year ago ONLY for Skyward Sword.

Will wait for the new one till I get Wii U. The Nintendo Land party games looked like they could be fun for a group. Mario Kart for Wii is still one of my favorite past times for a group of friends after a few refreshments.. Right after peeking down down German toilets  :vomit:
Nah, I don't really drink.

Got Halo 4. The ship Infinity was included in the game which is a pleasant surprise.

Any Infinity Blade fans here?
