Scalers ( like the one in the modern Dell monitors) are laggy things. Do you not notice it  or just want multiple inputs that badly? One of them korean no-name 27 inchers  from ebay seems to present a much better value proposition at 270-300.

Yeah, input lag. And as for speed, any crappy old CRT>all lcds by design, which I'm assuming if the tv actually is 15 years old.

You live in the US? Microcenter sells a nice 27 inch 1440p for 400 bucks.

Input lag is miniscule to nonexistant on both of my LCDTV's unless I enable the uber fancy image processing modes.  On my Sharp Quattron, for instance, it's awful if I set it to "Dynamic (fixed)" but perfectly fine on the "Game" mode.  A friend of mine has the same TV and can play fighting games just fine on it.  The game itself is far more likely to lag than anything else.

What's everyone's SteamID? We could add eachother and play some coop games some time.
