Hey my name is, huh, Serge Alex, and I'm here to stir up trouble! like every good pirate
And I'm a proud owner of a Koda^2 MKII !
Basically I came here because I love Purrin's graphs and plots, especially the CSD waterfall style. They learned me I had at least one very bad headphone (I already named it) and one very good headphone.
Actually I would prefer calling those two, weak and strong performers, respectively. I don't think objective measurements using 90 dB pure tones and square waves correlates too well with music playback at normal listening volumes; in that regard I'm more of a subjective-head. Although, when you crank up the volume, I think that those plotted flaws becomes a reality --I'm a bit objectivist too--, so that's why I prefer talking about a good or a bad performer, rather than a good or a bad sounding headphone. Oh and I listen only to Grados, lol, my "very good headphone" is a HP-1000i.
In a perfect world every one should be able to measure the performance of their headphones and mods. I hope Purrin will continue making his CSD and FR graphs for many more headphones
, and I thank him for his awesome work.
