Hi Joel, welcome! Nice starting gear.
What amps have you tried? Did you try them with all 3 headphones listed?

Thanks for the Welcome!

Eric, I honestly am just getting off the ground, so I haven't tried many, and I can't entirely remember which headphones I've used for each. I wanted to get out to RMAF-Canjam this year, but I have to work unfortunately. Pretty much everything I encounter now, I try with the HD800 if possible. Here's the (literal) short list. Note the absence of TOTL amps:

Bottlehead Crack w/Speedball
Decware Taboo MKII
Glenn OTL
Maverick Audio D1 (owned/sold)
SPL Phonitor
Schiit Valhalla 2 (owned/returned)
Schiit Asgard
Schiit Mojo
Woo Audio WA7 (own)
Woo Audio WA6

You might want to check out the DNA Stratus for a TOTL amp. Based on your selling Valhalla and opting for WA7+PSU. Stratus will work fine with LCD2F and HD800 since neither of those two headphones require a ton of power or super low output impedance.

Hi Everyone,

Heard this is a cool place to talk about headphones.

Landed on HF in 2006, got my first headphones (HD555s) in 2007, modded them into HD595s. Completed a woody T50RP mod, got some DT990s, upgraded to HE-500s... you know how it goes.

Glad to be a Swabbie, thanks to LFF for helping me register!

Welcome, Will!  Someday I may get your original 2006 handle out of you...you're definitely handling things well these days!
