Figured I should properly introduce myself on here since I haven't done so yet. I'm currently a student at Indiana University wrapping up my computer science degree, and I'll be starting my masters program in information systems this coming fall. I'm pretty big into computers, gadgets, and technology in general.

I started off with car audio in late high school (on a whim, really, thanks to a Fry's gift card) and eventually moved on to home audio and headphones. Headphones became a strange addiction of mine shortly after. Given my technical background, I've been interested in headphone measurements from the start (was used to them from car and home audio).

I started keeping up with purrin's work once he started the CSD thread on HF. Didn't take long to understand and appreciate all of his work, which led me here. Although my experience with audio is likely far below most on this forum, it's nice to be able to have an honest, reasonable conversation about these topics from an objective or subjective standpoint without someone losing their shit while probably not having a single clue what they're talking about in the first place. There's a lot of good people and info on HF, but it's a very strange place overall.

All in all, I've got a lot to learn, but this is a great place to be!

I'm a long time lurker of Head-fi, though not much of a poster. I found this site through a link to one of purrin's measurements, and subsequently realized that many of the voices that I greatly respect and look out for on Head-fi have migrated here. Also, those that I don't, haven't.

Anyway, I'll be around, listening, lurking, and sometimes posting. I'm glad I found such an awesome community to do so.

As for background, i got this disease a couple years ago, and now i am a much more better person.
At the moment i have 0 headphones!!! In the search, in the search! Craving in fact, i thought that a new pair of speakers would cure me, but i was wrong, oh so much wrong.
