I'll keep it very short: Anyone who thinks they've got a decent pair of ears should do themself a favour and get a pair of ZERO AUDIO ZH-DX200-CT (just make sure you don't order the bassy version, the ZH-DX210-CB).

Allow me to de-hype.

I do not appreciate the hype, as unknown as it may be. Could you explain to me what makes these headphones so great that you can recommend them? If not, the image should be enough of an indication.

Tell you what, you PayPal me the equivalent of $60 in euros (roughly the cost of the Tenores) and I'll answer your question, otherwise please just don't bother with these phones (or this thread).

(Ahh, and here I was thinking that my cred was just as good as, if not better than, Tyll's or purrin's — how very naive of me)

Oh, poor ageing music_4321, the more he posts, the lower his "Karma" gets.

One thing that is actually not bad about HF is that at least you know who gives you a 'thumbs up' when you post something—for a time there was a 'thumbs down' option, too, and you could also see who gave you that, but just like on eBay, it proved to be a bit of a curse, ie people who didn't like you would inevitably give you a firm thumbs down (on eBay that'd mean sellers giving you negative feedback in retaliation if you also left them not so flattering comments / positive feedback).

Here on CS, it sometimes seems pretty arbitrary, like our good ol' Anax ("Karma: +65535/-65535", which remains unchanged), but that is obviously more of an inside joke, ie not the norm.

So, it seems our avian friend, aka Our Most Popular music_4321 Dude, isn't pleasing those allowed to vote. I'd like to think I've got a fairly thick (bird) skin, but our visitors might interpret said "Karma" differently.

So, a kind request to our very esteemed mods: Either make my "Karma" veeeery negative, say "+0/-10,000", or leave it completely blank.

For good measure I actually googled the in-ears. They seem to have a very pleasing and entertaining sound signature.

Some information and personal impressions would have been much more interesting. There is also the "Pirate Booty" thread. When something is good and pleasant you can just say it. When Don started posting about the DT250-250, at one point I bought one and it is a keeper. An informative recommendation is always welcome.

Karma is what you make of it, nothing more.

Zero Audio, thanks for the information.

In my not so humble opinion, the Tenores have a bit more than "a very pleasing and entertaining sound signature", hence starting this (now) rather peculiar thread.

As for the Karma bit, I've said my piece — bottom line: it means nothing, yet it does mean something...to some.

I can vouch for the Tenore's sonics. It's pretty much a perfected Sony MH1 by having much less of a bass boost. IMO it has great slightly downward sloping FR with excellent bandwidth. Treble is sweet and nicely extended. Mids are fleshed out with decent air (with right tips) and the bass is mostly sub bass focused.

My favorite tips are the comply s200 and mh1 tips. The s200 tips are wider bore and that particular foam is much different from regular comply foam. It's less dense and allows for less bass with a good seal.

While some much more expensive phones may have some greater technicalities, in micro detail or imaging, the Tenore is a tonal gem. It's simply fantastic IMO and my favorite for everyday listening.
