I suppose some/many might think it's a bit OTT if I said that, since I got the Tenores, my SE846s (with white/treble filters) have mostly been kept in their case — well, you'd think that unless you already knew I'm a Tenore shill, that is.
But if I'm to be 100% honest, it's been mostly due to the slightly more expensive FAD LAB I, which I like more than the SE846 or Tenore (or any other phone I've ever heard, for that matter), but when not using the LAB I, it's been mostly the Tenore (and at times the HD800, ER4S or F111).
That's not to say, however, that given the choice, I'd choose the Tenore over the SE846 — I'd need to do some proper A/B'ing to determine that, but I cannot say with certainty that I find the Shures—with white filters, which, to these ears, sound better the blue filters (the latter making the 846s a bit too warm for my taste)—to be a better phone.
