I'd get a pair, as they genuinely sound interesting, but as I already have UERMs, which I'm happy with, they'd never get used.

(Still rather young) Maxvla might find that he may well find himself reaching for the ~$60 Tenores more often that he thinks he would — perhaps at, though not limited to, times when the UERMs may not be so convenient.

When would one be convenient and the other not? I already use them when doing yard work, so clearly I'm not concerned about their cost.

Generally speaking, customs can be more inconvenient when, say, you need to take your earphones out of your ears rather frequently (e.g. at work, home, in the street, in a shop, etc.), If that never is the case with you… Still, you may simply find the Tenores more sonically palatable at times!

Not sure if I like stuffing one hole or both holes. Tending toward one hole since both holes seems kinda ghey ~Purrin

So, after 8 hrs, no-one has been willing to take this very peculiar one-time offer — interesting, to say the very least.

So, rules have changed as of right now and, err, now the same offer is only available to Messrs Maxvla or shipsupt (whoever comes first), but only for the next couple of hours, after which no-one will be Da Privileged One, who may possibly get ~$60 of my not so hard-earned cash.

Depends on the universal, some are worse than customs to regain a proper seal and fit.  I can't imagine any comply tipped foam being convenient if you constantly have to squish or roll 'em with oily grimy fingers everytime you pop them back in.  Discus shapes have usually been problematic for me just the way they fight my ear for a proper fit.  Let's not even talk about the Stax IEMs.

I'd say it all depends...

Okay, no takers. Time's up! Cool. Why is part of me not surprised (at all)?

Anyway, looking forward to (more) genuine, unbiased impressions from anyone, preferably utter n00bs, who dare spend ~$60 on these excellent phones.

Just stop, please. It's like you insist on everyone agreeing with you completely about these earphones--even when I said it's pretty good, that wasn't enough because I wanted more bass, and now I'm a basshead. Geez.

Not trying to convince anyone of anything. My basshead comment was simply meant to point out that I think you prefer more bassy sigs (you said you liked and sometimes missed the IE8, after all, which is known to be a pretty bassy phone). I personally think some people might actually want a tad less bass on the Tenores (!), particularly less subbass.

If I wanted to have people agree with me 100%, I'd have also commented on other aspects you mentioned (isolation, build, microphonics), which I don't quite agree with you about. BTW, I suggest you/people wear these over the ear.

I did realise you said, "excellent buy, methinks", so, glad to hear the Tenores did not disappoint.
