There is no need for hype when there is enough information and enough basis for trust.

If it was not for Shotgunshane's information the pissing elephant or an image depicting faeces would have sufficed.

Hype is overated, viral this, viral that and marketers widen their greedy eyes.

Based on the information in the thread I too am interested in the in ears. My portable headphones do add weight to my backpack.

I just searched this thread looking for a good place to order them. I searched on ebay and the only listing I found had overpriced them with a 100% markup compared to the best price on kakaku which was amazon.jp

Can anyone suggest a service that can deliver internationally? Or to the US for that matter. All I've found so far were listings for the basshead version.

...As an aside, why not just hype it up as a really good value for money IEM for $60 or so? No need to compare it with all the $1k and up gear, as long as the price is low people will buy.

If you're based in the US, probably best to get them on Amzzon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0093VVP0Q/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1399537295&sr=8-1&keywords=zero+audio+tenore&condition=new). If you're based in Europe, best to either set up a Tenso account (Tenso being a forwarding service—in which case you'd end up paying ~$55) or get a pair on eBay.

As for why mention $300/$500/$1,000(+) phones, the simple answer is: to make a point — the Tenore is no ordinary decent/nice sounding ~$60 phone, but one that, to these ears, can easily compete with—and in many instances surpass—phones that cost considerably more.

(The type of "hype" I meant for this thread is not the one often seen in a very familiar place most of us know)

Thank God the world has given us Mr shotgunshane.

That's what I tell the mirror every morning!

Here is a good review by gnarlsagan. He tends to approach things similarly to me:

Looks like it might get pretty close to an ER4S with bass boost. I'm interested.

I was hoping this thread would be at least 20 pages long by now. It isn't — sad, really, but what can you do.

So, to show everyone just how wealthy music_4321 is, here's a proposition which only applies to Anaxilus or MuppetFace (first-come, first-served):

Purchase a pair of Tenores. If you are not (fairly) impressed, I'll PP you the exact amount of money you paid, and you even get to keep these phones (sell them afterwards if you wish to, or give them to your 5-year-old niece/cousin).

Couple of things I ask, though, to take advantage of this 'once in a lifetime' offer: a) give them a fair shake, and not just a two-minute audition when you're (kinda) bored, and b) forget how much these IEMs cost (practically impossible, I know, but do your best to remain as impartial as you possibly can).

My ba200 just died on me and I'm looking for a pair of cheap iem to get me by. I think this is worth a shot.

Just got my Tenores. After extensively auditioning them for 3 minutes, I am pleased to report that: yep, these sound good.
Nice wide soundstage. Everything sounds very clear, and well-spaced.
Could use more bass. And isolation (I can hear my keyboard's mechanical brown switches as I type this). And this cable picks up any movement, plus the build quality is obviously not heavy-duty.
Excellent buy, methinks.

Okay, this offer is also open to anyone with at least +30/-0 "Karma", with at least 50 posts (+30/-1 will not do). First come, first serve.

(looks like in just a couple of hrs I've gone from +40/-158 to +40/-160. I like round numbers.

Me thinks Mr Eric_C is a bit of a (closet) basshead!

Last chance!! Offer also open to those with a karma balance of at least +287 and a minimum of 3900 posts.

I'd also appreciate it if whoever the lucky winner is, they posted their (in-depth or even executive-type) impressions in this thread.
