Hmm... I think I qualify as at least 44 for having a parasound d/ac-1100.

Heavy and makes things better... I feel like there's some MMO tanking analogy here.

Moffat left 25 years ago. Theta didn't know what to do without him. Gen 7 (Gen 6 was skipped) D-S was released 15 years after he left, or something crazy like that.

Actually they skipped several numbers. After the Gen Va revision of Mike's Gen V design, their next DAC came 10 years later and was called the Gen VIII. They first started showing prototypes of the VIII in 2002. They still sell basically the same thing today as the Gen VIII Series 3, and I think the price is now up to $13K or so. I don't think it's that competitive anymore, at least you don't hear that much about it. The Alpha DAC for example took over the world when it was released, whereas the Gen VIII/S2/S3...didn't. It probably didn't help that Theta has never come up with any kind of USB input solution whatsoever, nor did the $10K+ prices I'm sure.

I'm unsure what type of chips the various VIII versions have used, I don't think Theta has ever come out and said what they are specifically. The current S3 though I think uses an R2R chip. No idea which one.

You mean subjective taunting or objective charge/stun and spell reflection? Everyone on the internet comes with a rage bar.

I don't really see Yggy drawing aggo, so tanky/healbot seems more appropriate.

Yggy is the best audio purchase I've made in years. You totally need one.

likely truth.

However, would need to sell this used Gungnir first.  (not difficult)
and somehow also sell a LH Labs Pulse Infinity in new chassis that hasn't even shipped yet, and thus is hard to sell.

btw, if all swabbies nab Yggy as end game DAC (and empty bank accounts), what do we quibble over next-
EC amps?

Yes.

Great, EC 2A3 or 4-45 is next on my list of potential gear purchases, right after another shelf unit.

Between CEE TEE and I we've owned:
Balancing Act
Zana Deux
Super 7
Electra
Zana Deux SE
2A3 MKIV

And we're both planning at least one new EC purchase each this year (AND CEE TEE has a weird moth one off). I'd say you swabbies are borked.
