What kind of opamps have you tried?
I have found the LME49710HA to be good and it is cheap...

I would say that is accurate.

Yeah, I long for the days when Koss' "the plug" ruled to cheap seas of iem-land. It turns out to be incredibly easy to add a seal to any cheap ear bud and call it an "iem"

I would now only buy a type of iem that I haven't heard before like dual balanced armature,hybrid or a custom iem (that is the least likely too happen because of the cost).

I like the way my woodied 80i looks but it is nothing more than eye candy compared to my 325i.

I bought the Brainwavz R3 after seeing a $34 drop in price. I like it better than the Penon T1E but the fit takes some getting used to. It does,to my ears,sound like the Yamaha EPH-100,after a slight boost of treble,with better soundstage.
