I have seen the Thinksound headphone but I was thinking something on a more compact scale. Despite the popularity of V-Moda,I think they have an ugly design :gross:. My last ditch effort will be another Beyer DTX 501P. I have heard them before and liked them but I returned them because they were defective. If this next pair is not defective,I'll roll with 'em.

C, did you try the Beyer t51p? I find it great to go to the gym and stuff but have never listened to it for more than an hour at a time.

The penny pincher in me won't pay that much for portable headphones. They cost as much as my Grado 325i.

The on1 fit dandily in the DTX 501P case, BTW ;), in fact, I would gladly take it off your hands for some $$ if you repurchase them, heh.

Nooooo. As much as I like the sound of the 501p,it definitely ain't the headphone to carry around without a case.

Finally received a working pair of Beyer DTX 501p's today. The more I listen to them, the more surprised I am at how good they sound for on-ear portable headphones. It actually handle an amp (old e11) and bass boost fairly well.

The Bravo Audio Ocean tube amp sounds so harsh to my ears now. No matter what tub I use.

Tried tube rolling but got over it relatively quick. The jury is still out on opamp rolling. I am trying "cable rolling" only because I found a couple cables for cheap.
