Derailment is common here. Sometimes the thread finds the rails again.

Should have guessed it though.  Since I've come back here it seems like no one can mention LH around here without someone going off on them...

You must be imaging things. We take great care to censor criticism and defend our 'premium' sponsors here.

So back on topic ... if the verbs truly blow goats, and LH knew the OEM botched the production run, maybe not the best choice as a raffle prize?

I have always thought of raffle prizes as as a marketing tool.  Otherwise, you run the risk that Mav will win and start a thread like this one  ;D

I'd like to hear from the raffle winners (Clem and Ultra) if the manufacturing defects manifested themselves with the GOv2.

On the Verb: Jebus, it's a fricking $39 IEM. This must be the first time that the "general populace" has called on the pyrates to condemn a $39 product. Seriously, I find the Hugo or Hugo TT much more troubling.

P.S. If you don't like crowdfunding or pre-orders, then don't. Crowding stuff comes with risk. If you don't understand this, then you should open account at a brokerage and buy Apple stock on margin. If you don't like the confusing upgrades, send a polite e-mail to Gavin telling him that you have a big headache from their confusing product line, upgrades, versions, etc.

Well if you think there's no such thing as bad publicity then it worked in their favor.  LH's primary market is the electronics anyway, not the headphones.

Ha-ha, I tell LH they are confusing all the time. I'd actually encourage people to give honest feedback here. I'm glad this thread exists. I know the LH guys like getting real world inputs.

Even for $40 it's bad and $40 was just the preorder price.  It's $84 on Amazon right now.

Well, $40 is not horrible unless we are talking about plane-phone sound quality or if it sounds like $1000 torture IEMs from Japan.

Still, you could get some Skullcandy Jibs for like $4 on special and feel like a boss. Maybe those are better than the Verb, but I dunno yet.

(If they sound worse than the Jibs and are $84, they would go from shit to double shit)

This must be the first time that the "general populace" has called on the pyrates to condemn a $"value" product.

That is the thing. I like Changstar because here the opposite happens. Impressions, measurements, set-ups, works with A/B/C or does not work with X/Y/Z and sometimes people here have such similar tastes that you can trust their recommendations on a personal basis.

A headphone which had less than stellar bass rendition was referred to as "limp dick." The expression still gives me a chuckle.

Here audio impression can be balanced, dick or fart jokes and you can still be accepted with your Utrasone. People are too serious sometimes...
