I believe the official Changstar position from those who have heard them is that the Verb sounds like shit.

Looking forward to Ultrabike's measurement and subjective impressions.

I'm going to assume you deleted the shenanigans from earlier today.
Curious.... It runs counter to your mod's self-righteous rant about "integrity" and how you don't censor.

I guess the real authority finally showed up... and he speaks "Engrish" too. Right Anax?
But don't feel bad, your negative brownie points are still on my profile.... lol.

There's a difference between censoring content and deleting posts where people are shitting on each other, i.e. "shenanigans" per your own words. I think you still got your point across as I didn't touch any of your earlier posts. I don't know what your beef is because I think you actually came out on top after the post moderation.

Give it a rest. Walk away from the keyboard. Put Anaxilus on ignore if necessary.  I'm sick and I'm not in a good mood for stupid Internet arguments today.

Your mod crossed the line of common decency while trying to claim "integrity" at the same time.
So you can put the blame of "beef" squarely on his shoulders. You expect us to walk away after something like that?
*I wrote something a lot more critical and uncensored the first time around, so please understand this as me trying to be courteous to your site.

I didn't have a problem with anyone, or any company on this forum before today. I actually respected Anax before this too.
He is very smart, but obviously not very wise.... neither am I for that matter, since I took it so personally... but at least I'm self aware enough to realize this was all an unnecessary shit storm.

Apologies for this mess, and sharing an honest opinion. I'm done with this. Enjoy the rest of your day. I hope you feel better.

Take it easy. You did say:

You guys here on changstar are supposed to pride yourselves on being 100% unbiased when it comes to audio PRODUCTS, but I feel that LH just got a "get out of jail free" card right here considering the Verb.

Anax proly no-like those sorts of claims. I didn't like them either, but we all react differently.

Anyhow. No need to get confrontational about it. You know now some of the dudes around here that heard the Verb think they are "shit". I'll give them a try. It is possible I will not like them.

Dear Mister Dark Helmet,

first of all take off the helmet and accept that the schwartz is only the schwartz.

Second by now you should understand a few simple things:
1. Human perception is flawed, there is always a bias.
2. Subjective impressions per person can differ.
3. Measurements and subjective impressions can match or mismatch.
4. People have their preferences and priorities, this adds to the bias.
5. Sometimes people prefer personal recommendations based on trust, this adds to the bias.

Take these five points into consideration. Then understand that Changstar is run and frequented by people. Sometimes audio gear here is mocked and criticised into oblivion. Sometimes the reaction is "meh, there are things like music and life."

If you feel like transforming into "ruthlessly honest Mr Dark Helmet the audio reviewer" you can do that. Applying solipsism to others, no.

You can keep your dark helmet and schwartz.

Yours Truly

Good to know.  I haven't heard the verb or any other LH gear for that matter, and have no stake in this debate, but I will note that the words "changstar premium sponsor"

LOL, the Changstar Premium Sponsor thing was a joke to see how certain paranoid folks would react, especially the "Premium" thing. It's fun to hear what people say "Oh, Marv is making shitload of money from LH!" Some pyrates are close to LH, no doubt about that. I believe they have already disclosed this.

The reason I won't take money is that it ruins the fun, and it's easier for me to make money using my real skills rather than being a audio gear pimp.

Personally, I remain on friendly terms with certain individuals from LH, as with Schiit, Donald North, Cavalli, HFM, UE, etc. LH did secure the Brooks location for the meet and agreed to pay for the table and chairs rental (I still need to submit the invoice to them.) Once you are involved in this hobby, it's impossible not to get involved, so disclosure is a good idea.

Lol - thanks for setting me straight!  I certainly wouldn't think less of you or the core crew if you all wanted to try and offset your bandwidth and hosting costs etc.  (Plus, it sounds like it isn't too late to send Casey a stiff invoice!)  But I do highly respect the goal and value you have placed on having the forum remain independent.
