Does it make a difference if it is said in American?

For a long time, I couldn't understand the use of EZ, "Ee-Zed," as I read it, in product names

Overall, I do like the look. Just not the wood veneer so much. Still have yet to hear anything from Audeze, but I'd like to try the open version sometime.

Thad, there are exactly two HP enthusiasts out of 10 million people in Chennai (you and me). We need to stock up. Let's give the Socal community real competition in terms of equipment.  :)p1

There is an English DJ named DJ EZ which I assumed was "ee-zee" until I heard his mixes. "DJ E-zed!" tags on everything.

Anax, regarding your comment on the EL-8 (closed) in the shout box, how similar is the over all sound vis-a-vis the LCD-XC? Thanks

That's a tough one. Quick impression based on the not yet finalized EL-8, apart from the lower treble peak on the closed EL8 (which I believe to be a resonance from the closed cup) I though it was overall more linear and coherent sounding across the FR. Now, as for resolution, dynamics (micro/macro), timbre I'd need to AB them side by side. I was actually more a fan of the LCD-X than the XC so never spent much time with it.

So just how close would you put the EL-8 to the x, in terms of overall percentage based purely on sound?

For those who have heard the open-back EL-8 at the CES, do you think that they have the potential to sound as good as the LCD-2F with a bit of tweaking before the release date ?
