I was scratching my head when I saw that DR4 because I spun that album all weekend long and thought it sounded surprisingly decent for a modern rock album. Then I saw the vinyl rip numbers, which explains that. Damn shame about that digital version.

The album ROCKS though. Easily one of the best of the year so far.

Sully and the boys return 4 years later with more of what they do best.  If you were expecting Godsmack to be reinvented, to go in a new direction, look elsewhere.  If you're a fan and love their late 90's in your face riffs, rhythms, and Sully's unmistakable vocals you are in luck.  Powerful and vibrant, I can already see these guys opening a show in hometown Boston with the title track and having the crowd come absolutely unglued.  This is an album that's setting up a great tour, there is no doubt about that.  Godsmack doesn't disappoint on stage!

There is a some exploration in a few tracks like Nothing Comes Easy with nothing less than a cello solo stuck in the middle!  Most of the tracks are the bread and butter metal that the band has served up for nearly two decades.  I couldn't be happier that they keep bringing it!  headbang
