fugazi - first demo

Simply awesome to hear these guys before the "final touches" were put on music that was eventually released over the decade that passed after they made this demo.  It's amazing to see how they really stood out from the hardcore scene there were a strong part of. They obviously cared about how they were recorded, which wasn't true of many artist in the scene at the time.

A must for any fan.

In the mean time I'm listening to KIASMOS by Kiasmos

Just getting around to this one.  Good stuff.

Objekt's Flatland has real staying power for me; listening to "Dogma" over and over in particular. The groove and drums remind me of Tricky's "Mellow" for some reason.

Portable's "Surrender" is really mellow and great, even if I haven't gotten to into the deep house movement.

Just getting into Andy Stott's Faith In Strangers. Really sprawling sound with shades of Japanese tribal weirdos Vasilisk from time to time.

Lots of hidden gems on bandcamp, too.

I mostly talk about music there. Weird.

Groovy. Thanks. Dogma is a standout.

I'm in a mood for this stuff tonight!

I am losing my shit over that Aphex Twin announcement.

Can you please elaborate on this news that seems to be over a year old?

Probably the announcement that Syro was going to release, which it did about a month after 'tode posted that.

Thanks Quest, i was an Aphex fan in the 90s, the few songs I had from that era were all mp3s, just updated to lossless last night and so am eager to catch up.
