LOL. I think you need to post a few more to get moved up from Swabbie. Go ahead and post a link. I know of nothing.

Thanks Purrin, hopefully they finally get it

A very direct and useful article.

It may need some geek porn to complement the words, but a much better guide than HF Summer Guide in that it presents poo for what it is, and points out real treasures.

Its a shame that companies with resources are focusing too much on esoteric looks and too little on sound performance. More shameful are the $$$ they are demanding for their lackluster products, and how some people are falling for it :)p3

I'm guessing in year 2030 Sennheiser will release the HD25 Amperior V ii b25.1 and it will have damping in the entire cup and it will be a revelation.

I just read the PDF... Damn! Well said Purrin. I've been saying this in many different ways for a long time now on various forums. After trying so many headphones in the past, I have decided to slow down and be content in the past few years with the best cans among the ones on my profile on headfi... http://www.head-fi.org/u/17865/donunus (this is why I wanted the Cheapus Sexus title here on changstar LOL). Only a very few cans like the hd600/650 and dt250-250 were the keepers at their price ranges. It's unbelievable how many among those on the list are highly regarded on headfi. Its sickening how much time and money I would have saved if I could have attended meets. Meets are not an option for me though because I live in the sticks. The nearest meets are in Manila which is a couple of islands away :)

Thanks to all. I kind of stole everyone's thoughts here and put it in writing with concrete examples of products released in 2012 so far.
