Where'd you hear of new portastax?

I have the 003 and it proves that Stax IEMs are a horrible idea if only for their complete failure in ergonomics and practicality. Those things made my ears feel violated, like plastic toy robots took my head for chinese fingercuffs  :'(

I thought stax is releasing a new portable system soon, so buying the srm-001 might not be a great idea?
Well that along with the amp/energizer purchase, I don't know where to get one so I don't think I would want it. :(

From the Tokyo Fujiya headphone festival impression thread:

For comfort, you can always make an impression of your own ears with diy kits. Make a mold with silicone, then use silicone again to construct your own custom fit plugs. I did it, quite easy. You can always get UV activated hypoallergenic coating from Dreve if you worry about such things. Distributors sells them both in the US and Canada, probably in Australia too. There's also businesses that makes these plugs for you, perfect for other iems as well.

The new amp looks slick, though the design of the IEMs is basically the same, save perhaps for the plug.

I saw a pic of a custom mold for the tiny stax that looks to be just the ticket. Unfortunately there was no info on who was responsible for the implementation.

I'm thinking the earphones will be the same as the SR-003, which is the same as the SR-001. Which is fine because they're fantastic.
