I remember huge drunken dorm-room arguments about whether the Koss Pro4AA were better or worse than the original Sennheiser HD 414s with the yellow foam.  I was a Senn guy in 1976, and I'm still a Senn guy.

What kind of Senn guy, like an HD700 Senn?

Another Head-Fi'er seeking diversification, checking in.  I've been into IEMs for quite a while, but just started the headphone hobby with the obligitory AT M50s last year.  After some buying and selling I'm up to Senn HD-800, Beyer T1, HFM HE-500, Burson Conductor, an LD MKIV/SE and some Schiity stuff (Lyr/Bifrost).

Thought I'd mosey on over here to change up the venue for separating myself from my funds.

I wish I still had my HD 414 for a comparison with the 700.  I'll bet the 414 sounds better.

Just made it in here after 3 registration attempts. Apparently the verifier does not like Gmail or Yahoo accounts :-[

At any rate hutnicks from the other place. Here to see informed opinions untainted by industry propaganda.

And to boldly extoll the virtues of cheap fi whenever possible :))

Hey olor1n.  Good to see you here along with some other familiar faces.

I'm glad to be in a place where this -

for the hd800, I have yet tried them but I believe it is a well known fact...
- isn't commonplace.

Castoffs = drifted off?
Castaways = shipwrecked and lost?

Did you meet Nemo and his dad on the way and kissed the Little Mermaid or were you just fending off sharks?

Either way  ahoy
