Bon soir, mes amis.  8)

Just officially decided to register after lurking all over the place. (HF/H2Audio/IF/my PDB/maybe elsewhere...)

Been putting matches to the snake-oil for my "Home-Theatre" customers for quite a while, and I've only got into the headphone game recently. Joined up on HF about 8 months ago, and I got sick and tired of all the debate about things that are udderly redonkulus to debate. The massive flood of new people who have no experience or credible benchmark to reference saying this about X and that about Y didn't help either... (Thinking of quitting HF for good now that I found this!)

Anyway, I'm just here to suck as much information out of y'all as I can.  :)p8  At least before higher taxes drive my family out of business! *:p

P.S. -- I can't remember where I saw the link on this site, but thanks for posting about Zaph|Audio, Purrin. I'll make sure to mention his site to my father who oversees most of our shop's internal products/services. I disagree with Krutke that all focal drivers are not worth it, but otherwise he is pretty no-nonsense and level-headed.

P.P.S. -- Surprised to hear that Purrin was a big Q3 player. Clans and all! I would never have guessed from all these headphone shenanigans...
I never seem to have much time for games these days, but I do have a soft place in my heart for Id classics of old...  :)p12

Before the time of graphs, when the T1 and HD800 came out at approximately the same time, I would get so much shit on stating how mediocre or even bad the T1's were. Used to suggest that costing the same, the HD800 were highly superior. I was either wrong or it was just about tastes. Blah.

In other words, I share your frustration. But now it's all the merrier: I actually have graphs to prove my point, thanks to purrin and others. Point being that some have no ears whatsoever  :)p13

Zaph places very high priority on good behavior (minimized ringing), low non-linear distortion, and cost. This is very understandable. I place a slighter higher priority on fast decay than non-linear distortion. I also don't mind nasty ringing because I prefer the use of active crossovers to passive. Nasty ringing will require the use of higher order crossovers which are not only complex and a general pain-in-the-ass to deal with, but also expensive with all the parts. What's cool about his site is that all the data is there so you can make up your own mind according to your own design priorities. That guy is awesome.

Ahoy!

Purrin owes me money and I'm here to collect  walk the plank

Let's see, name's Hix on here (and NeoGAF), I've been lurking for a few months, mostly when bored at work. Staring at headphone graphs may seem an unusual thing to do to pass the time, but it helps.

I'm a bit of an Audez'e fanboy, but I like most headphones in general and having a friend in the trade I take full advantage of the opportunity to free test pretty much any I can get my hands on.

Love the serious chat you guys have here and especially the ability to be critical if necessary. I got jumped on for suggesting the Beyer T1s were vastly over-priced just this morning on another forum. Apparently measurements don't count as objective evidence either, natch.

I work as a desk-monkey to afford part-time Yeshiva study and being married (and headphones).

Is your e-mail address on file here correct for paypal?

I would like to introduce myself. Actually, I'm quite new in this hobby (about 6-7 months). At that time, I want phone which I can use during traveling. However up to now, I've collected a few (lcd2, rs1i, th900). From innerfidelity, I found this site. I enjoy my time here and learn new things regarding phone measurement. English is not my first language (even though already moved to Australia for a while from Indonesia).
Currently working in food retail industry. Atm, very interested to listen to paradox phone. Hope to be able to try it next year.

Thanks Questhate. I'm happy with my currents. Hope I don't have the urge to add anymore :). Well, at least if want to add, surely I will check its measurement first.

Haha, nice.

My first impressions of LCD-2: http://www.head-fi.org/t/453116/audeze-lcd-2-orthos/3120#post_6828653

In before you though: http://www.head-fi.org/t/453116/audeze-lcd-2-orthos/3375#post_6845606

Soon after that all the shit started ricocheting off the blades of a fan. Kwratwtf began biased modding in favor of the LCD-2 fanboys and I got sick of all that...

A personal thank you again for starting this trend. :)
