Damn you Mates! So much talk f discoverrring new headphones yet you haven't given the beyer dt250-250ohm a try. I've been around the block and Me sayyys they are zeee best!!!! Ridiculous for the poraysssce!!! I have never become such a fanboy before until I heard something actually worth listening to in the world of headphones. They are even better overall to me than the hd600 and 650 regardless of the slightly narrower soundstage width.

Like some other folks, you may recogni[s|z]e me from "the Other Place" and more recently from "The Other, Other Place d-_-b" . Was intrigued by Tyll's mention on IF, so came exploring.  Still semi-lurking as I read and catch up on whats gone before. Given that you can't have measurable improvements without measurements, why would people be opposed to Kaizen (改善?) being applied to headphones?

P.S. any chance of this forum appearing in the TapaTalk network ?
looks possible http://www.tapatalk.com/activate_tapatalk.php?plugin=smf

Well, we thought there might be a DT48 and/or DT250 showing up at the door but neither ever happened.   :'(

Welcome to the new folks!  Btw, there really is no need to call it the 'other place' but we can understand why many do so.

I sent a PM to Purrin but I never received a reply. I can postpone the sale of the DT48S if you want...

just received my sr202 & srm 1 - mk2.
amazing, so clear and clean, airy, and all for $500 =D
hits low and is punchier than my other headphones, maybe I don't feel them lacking in bass yet.
It scares me to think that stax setups can get better than this.
