Is this really a thing? How far down Maslow's Hierarchy have we descended that parking etiquette is the bane of someone's existence?

I park whichever damn way works, including backing into spots, parallel parking, taking up more than one spot, etc. I have to do that so that my wheelchair is not on an incline when I transfer onto it and so I have sufficient space to maneuver out. And I have had these petty assholes key my car when I had to park in two spots (in the back) because all of the handicapped places were filled with red geezer tags and soccer moms who sprained their ankles two years ago.

Since we're posting videos:

It seems so much cooler in my imagination:

Aw man, it was way more radical from my fuzzy 80's memory.

Tode,
Self Actualization includes being the 'perfect parent'. picking up the tit-suckers from school, negotiating the Whole Foods parking lot to pick up humanity saving food snacks, hitting the liquor store, and getting to soccer practice early with a latte in one hand and daddy's 'water bottle' in another is a monumental feat worthy of the maillot jaune. if you get in my way, my 7 yr old daughter might not score a goal. please don't impede the commerce of my perfect parenting skills if you venture into my perfect suburb.

One problem with parking backwards is if the spaces are angled like they should be in any civilized society ;) (it minimizes door dings), when you leave your space you'll likely either have to drive into oncoming cars or have to make a 120 degree turn where a bunch of things can go wrong.

And now for your viewing pleasure:

Remember when their slogan was "The Ultimate Driving Machine"?  :'(

Edit:
OH GOD-  I just looked and it STILL IS their trademark.

Maybe this thread belongs with the First-World Probems thread?  :)p13

EDIT: Changed the smiley. Post supposed to be light-hearted, but I think I picked the wrong smiley!  :-[

Love the cat. Know just how it feels. But... I backed into a carboard box, once, got stuck with my arms by my sides, and couldn't get out with rolling over.

Hey, we all do strange things!

I think I used the wrong smiley. My reply was also supposed to harmless ribbing.

Sorry for any misunderstanding caused <Blush>

I drive a 15 passenger van. Backing in is often the only way possible. I am a back-in God. No one waits.
