We'll do the KRK in another run next year. A seven headphone comparo will already be difficult enough. We are definitely going to feature more stuff at the entry level on this site in the future.

If you have one of these headphones to give to the cause, understand that we may keep it for a few months. Tyll's gonna get involved in the action too.

The new Grados are cool too. I just got some sr60es and they are nice but the problem is... they are not nice with the stock pads. They are okay with taped bowls(L-cush) for a more airy and extended response sound from top to bottom. Also when headband is loosened to lose some extreme forward sound, The TTVJ flats are great with them when used outdoors. They maintain a punchy sound even with outdoor background sounds when plugged directly into an ipad air with the flats. Thats how I currently have them since my goal for my Grados are not for accuracy as much as I like my dose of raw energy.

This. It looks pretty nice.

From what I have read at Rock-Grotto, it is a killer deal. The people at RG are sometimes obsessed with value-for-money deals, smart people.

I was thinking that the case itself might cost about as much as the headphone itself, especially after we shipped it over from Asia and the amount of weight it adds.

On another related note, we just came across something solderdude reviewed fairly recently - http://www.changstar.com/index.php?topic=1651.0

The Philips SHP9500 are pretty darn good to my ears. The earpad choice is somewhat questionable, and the L/R in etched in HUGE white paint is fairly undesirable. I really strongly dislike bright and peaky treble so it wasn't for me, but quite a few other people thought that sonically for <$100 they were really, really good.

We can throw our sample into the comparo if there's any interest in them.

Ah shoot, just throw whatever you guys have into the mix. I knew the list would grow, hence the initial limit of 7.
