You bastards led to me getting a Geek Wave. Don't know how I missed the loss-leader pricing but this thread clued me in. For $148 - well, damn. Don't need femto and dual dac and all that for a mobile application - I just want something that sounds as good as my Geek Out! After all the confusion of the first campaign my eyes sort of glazed over. But at that price, it is a competitive offering. I found a 256GB SD card selling for $110 with positive reviews.

Realizing it could exceed my iPod Classic really tipped the scales for me.
I agree the campaign was borked and my name is listed under the people they thank for "direction" or whatever because I wrote blunt remarks about everything they were doing wrong. But, much like when I backed the Pulse, I waited it out until the actual product shaped up. The Wave was intended to be their last crowdfunding effort but as it is now two distinct products they will be doing the "Stream" or whatever they call it on Kickstarter. Lots of lessons learned, anxiety and anger caused, and dollars pledged. But in the end, I love my Geek Outs, greatly anticipate my Pulse Xf and look forward to trying out the Wave at a price low enough to not feel bad if it's a bit clunky or I need to resell it. As someone said, there is no question on the engineering chops. It's the consumer-facing area that could use some work, but with a much larger staff things should be much better. The preorder/pledge model is a huge burden on everyone involved and is exactly why Schiit, for example, don't let you order one until there is an item physically ready. Still, I believe I have some great products as a result of their campaigns.
Sorry if all that is off topic.
Mola Mola was there. Any thoughts?
