The Geek will likely be good with CIEMs right? I mean, sensitivity and noise all that.

EDIT: Fuck, the Geek Wave you guys have been talking about in this thread isn't the portable player, but the DAC/AMP?

The wave and the newly dubbed geek stream are different products. The thing everyone demoed at THE Show was probably the proto for both since they'll be very similar products.

I don't need a smartphone to initialize/use the DAP correct? I'm reading the lhlabs forums, and the posts are very very confusing.

I think the GeekWave DAP was rebooted from the old DAC/Amp GeekWave for smartphone? They even have two different indiegogo webpage

From what I've been reading, it's not intended to be a standalone DAP. It's primarily controlled via smartphone, and well, that's not made clear on the contribution page. Who do I contact for a refund? Please me tell I can get a refund.

Like Skyline, I'm also curious what people thought about the HE-400i; even though it's expected, it seems everyone's fixated on the HE-560.

Wow, so the OBravo cans still sound like crap? I thought they re-tuned it. I heard it back in December (wrote about it here, but not many seemed to care at the time) and thought it sounded terrible, but thought the idea was interesting.

Glad to hear the Geek Wave seems good; I'm pushing hard in the Force forums for good residual noise performance so that the Wave is silent like a ninja, even with CIEMs. I'm worried about the balanced connector unbalanced adapter thing, though. What was the proto like?

There's probably a pirate somewhere who wants it. That being said, you can control it without a smartphone, the UI is just better on one.
