Heard these last night and NEED to find them on vinyl now!  Gong: Flying Teapot & Angels Egg
Sorry, gave those away six months ago when I moved.   (A single hard drive is a lot easier to move than a van load of albums, and I won't miss record cleaning and disappointing pressings.)

I think that "Banana Moon" and "You" are equally good, btw.

I assume that you know that you can find vinyl copies for sale on this page:

I posted about this song a while ago and removed it. It's perhaps of no audiophile value, and the copies I've heard here and there are not very good. My vinyl single copy, which my parents may still have somewhere, broke into pieces a long time ago.

Growing up I was part of both my catholic elementary school's (Colegio Mexico) internal chorus and "rondalla". This was a few years before I moved to Cd Juarez. The "rondallas" of several schools used to make presentations at other schools, and at certain events from time to time, similar perhaps to school bands here in the US and perhaps other countries.

The songs "Amigo" and "Tu Eres Pedro" where perhaps among the most popular (in Mexico). As it was, the "estudiantina" of the Instituto Miguel Angel (instruments), and we (voices) performed these songs for the Pope on the first ever visit to Mexico by a Pope back in 1979.

"Tu Eres Pedro" is song with a strong religious background, but the song "Amigo" is ambiguous. That said, the IMO very beautiful lyrics (reasonable translation) describe in my mind something very close to a Divine friend. The song also brings a lot of memories back from a period in my life, and makes it the more special to me.

The bunch of kids' voices in the embedded video include my own:

From Prog, to Shoegazer with a hint of Rock the Verve is one of the often forgotten bands that has influenced me a lot. This band could rock too. Just check their old live performances. "A Storm In Heaven" is a gem from the nineties, an old favourite...

Nick McCabe, the lead guitarist of the Verve is one of my musical heroes.
