My problem with the HE6 is it's sometimes too resolving.

Have any for the Paradox? :)

Actually very good measurements. Subjectively, also very good, but I don't think the Paradox resolves like the hyper-detailed HD800. Again there are many other factors that come into play. The internals and driver of the Paradox dampen things very well - maybe a little bit too well.

Do you have -60 dB for the HE90?  Wonder if the hash is exclusive to Stax or if all electrostats exhibit it.

HE90. I think all electrostats have it, but to varying extent. Not as much as on the HE90. That hash sound is definitely discernible once we learn how it sounds like. As I've said - think ribbon tweeters - that certain kind of ethereal sparkle, shimmer, or air. Which actually sounds nice (some people hate it), but it's actually temporal distortion at specific frequencies.

FWIW, the HE90s sound more resolving to me - better low level detail extractors than the 009.

How about the -60 for the K240 DF? I'm asking because even if for my ears it's bettered by the K500 in some ways I always found it to sound very clean and detailed across the frequency spectrum I could hear.

When I first auditioned the HD800 I was surprised by how clean it sounded. I didn't buy it because I still had my DF and Monitor 10 (which stays regardless).

Very much interested in this as well. Thanks!

There are THD measurements for the paradox at innerfidelity, though I read a few changes were done to the damping since then but should give a good enough idea.
