Interesting, might explain a few things. I have some dutch blood. I occasionally grow these red, blond, and salt and pepper hairs. My grandfathers don't look totally asian. It's weird hearing the old folks talk about the dutch occupation of formosa because it was over ten generations ago.

A colloquial way to say concrete in the local language is "red fuzz dirt" referring to the Dutch who I presume brought it over.
