Welcome! That sounds like a sweet setup, I still love Vali.

I know what it is like to be a little out of the gear loop but I haven't been steered wrong from reading the impressions and reviews here.  Lots of great information available.

 ahoy Yo-Ho-Ho!  :)p1

Jumping ship from the "other" forum.  This looks to be more like my type of crowd and company.  Nice to see some familiar names from the "other" ship.

Hello guys & girls.

It seems that I managed to suscribe here and complete my profile despite my bad french english. Indeed, I come from France and I spend some times to read you here in the last month. I'm more involved in a french community dedicated to head-fi ( Tellementnomade.org) and obviously like other headphone addict I spend too much of my work time on Head-fi too.

I've been in the "serious" headphone business for one and an half year now. My first good headphones was a Koss Porta Pro offered by my father three years ago. One year later, I bought an Ultrasone HFI2400 , then a Ultrasone Signature pro and so on .. you know the story. i tried and/or owned many headphones , amps and dacs until now. I currently own the HD800 ( stock one, no mod , bought in August 2013) powered by a DNA Sonett 2 ( received 4 weeks ago) and a Metrum Octave MkI DAC. it seems I'm happy with this rig so far, but I need more time of listening.  I didn't tried all current flagships ( Never met Hi End stax like SR007/009 and K812 for example) but i'm quite convinced that the HD800 is a headphone well designed for my tastes and my favortie musical genre : Jazz, Classical , Electro for most of my time : see my last.fm profile for details , I scrobble all what I'm listening ;)

I don't know yet i f I'll be very active here . I'm not easy enough with english.  but so far , I laughed so hard reading the forum that I joined ( especially some Anaxilus posts  popcorn ) .  More seriously I really appreciate your no no attitude ( not subjectivist ,  not objectivist ) ans this forum is very informative. I must admit I really trust many posters I knew previously from head-fi.

So , here I am. I apologize  for my english and I hope to stay understandable though ;)

Cheers  headbang

Bienvenu  ahoy

Je pense que ton anglais n'est pas un problème.

Besides, British English and French overlap here and there.
