Regarding that avatar, I once read Einstein's manifest/essay against war and he found war very difficult to justify.

Funny notion for someone who fled the Nazis.  One also has to be careful in how they read Einstein, he is rather easy to misquote and take out of context.

That is why I dare not to quote him.

He was a very interesting person besides him being the well deservedly so famous scientist. Thing is, even pacifists have their loopholes when it comes to war. Thomas Moore's "Utopia" is a great example of how war and peace are described in their true but unpleasant balance that decides over the fate of civilizations and their people.

Oh well...

P.S. If you are interested try to find Hendrik van Loon's book "Tolerance" from 1925. Very interesting and relevant read regarding peace and war.

Hi everyone!
Nice to see a few members from HF here. "State of the Headphone Hobby September 2012" thread got me here which is a particularly interesting read to me as an so-called industry insider. I'm not sure i will post often, but will see. There are a lot of interesting threads to read for now.

Now, I'm working at Fischer Audio, but I do not want to represent company here, but just be a guy with own opinion. And if I ever say something controversial, please, do not make it official statement. I hope, Im not violating any forum rules by that ^_^. I'm feeling a bit more freedom of speech here, than on head-fi.
You can ask me questions about my work, however I can not promise I will answer all of it. All I can promise is to stay away from bring marketing crap here. I hate it myself.

As for myself, my name is Nikita (and I'm male, in case of you remembering that tv series), and isodynamic fan, as you can see from my gear. Working in company for about 3 years, I was audiophile since about 2005 year. Most of my primary gear is a mix of vintage and products from local Russia diy-ers.

My headphone system for now is on second priority place, as I want to setup a good old stereo first. And, I'm mostly satisfied with headphone rig anyway. My headphone experience goes up to WES+SR-009 combo owned by my friend. Good headphones this SR-009 are, I think the best of what I heard technically, but bass is a bit lacking to my taste. Actually, I'm yet to find headphones that suits me perfectly. Custom in-depth TDS-15 modification, done by local master, is the closest one for my dream home headphone. And Yamaha YH-5m is a theoretically perfect portable for me, however, its only after I complete a mod for it, that I was thinking of for a while.

Looking forward to meet some good people here :)
