We're not objectivists. Measurements are only part of the story.

I mostly talk about music there. Weird.

Correct, apologies for intending to lump folks here as objectivists. Guess sarcasm doesn't come through in my choice of words. I've gotten enough of a read that the measurements folks are conducting and using on gear is part of the evaluation criteria for what they like. In the end, it's a tool to either confirm what you're hearing as well. Got the gist of that on an SRH-1840 thread on HF when purrin/Anax started chiming in about it after I got my pair. Needless to say, I actually did more critical listening (not casual or passive) and those Shures are no longer in my possession.

I still love my HD700s though.  *:p

Plannarphile and "feminazi" from headfi, looking for greener pastures... or, well, I used to be on headfi as Dr. Strangelove, but the place got so far up its own ass (which ruled out head-case as well) that I've lurked and been out of the hobby for many years.

I must say the lack of smileys on the new post thing is rather disturbing. I guess I can give this place a chance though.

Welcome, I must admit the emoticon options here are plenty.

If anything is the number of emoticons that important? The old messenger days come to mind.

Twas sarcasm; there are a sufficient amount of emoticons for a forum as obnoxious as this ; )

In Feb 2012 I finally got an HD650 and since then have worked my way up to to stats.

I never did get to hear your 2ch rig. Will have to next time you invite me. Bringing the scotch over (or whatever your poison is)! headbang

It was subtle sarcasm; there is a sufficient amount of emoticons for a forum as amusingly obnoxious as this ;)

Fixed ;).
