Greetings from a new member.
I got into audio from the engineering and music production world starting in the late 90s. I'm a multi-instrumentalist.
Since the early 2000s, I have been working for some of the top pro and consumer audio companies in positions ranging from tech support, R&D, industrial design, to marketing, and product management.
So in one way or another I've been involved in just about every angle of the biz except sales (thank goodness).

I like to design and build things in my spare time—mostly pro stuff—preamps, compressors, and my personal favorite...microphones.
Been thinking about designing a discrete class-A headphone amp borrowing some tricks from the pro world. Things that make you go "hmmmmm."

Oh yeah, and I LOVE headphones! Obligatory ARRRRR!

Hey guys. Finally made the jump from HF to here since this seems to be where all the cool kids hang out.

I've run my course through headphone land and moved to speakers lately, but you never really leave (hoping to end up with another pair of HD800s soon).

I'm more here for the technical side of things. Numbers, line, and all that jazz.

Hi Everyone,
I recently decided to step into the headphone world. I have been lingering around the usual boards, I stumbled in here through some random searches and consider myself very fortunate, thank you.

I dabbled with speakers and some dynaco/heath stuff while in trade school, this is where I met Bruce Edgar who sparked my interest in audio and woodworking, he had his shop across the street. I helped him when I could to work off a pair of his Slimlines while going to school, It seems like yesterday but it was almost 15 years ago....yikes...anyhow, here I am @changstar (now with wife and son), I will lay low and only speak from my own experiences...thanks for having me, Brandon

Welcome...

Take it easy. Just a sense of humour is often enough.
