Hello everyone, I am PhoenixClaw. Some of you may have seen this username before, since I use this for almost all platforms (HF, Changstar, HWZ-SG, Steam, etc)

I've always loved good gear and of course the search for better audio stuff brought me to various places. Honestly, given the costs and my starving-student budget, I do not know how far I can invest into the hobby. I am always interested in learning more about the gear we use and especially the science behind hearing and audio - hence the "Still learning" in my HF About Me. I don't subscribe to the objectivist and subjectivist camps, as I believe you're only closing your mind to a lot of things. Also, debates pushing for either just go off the deep end.

I also want to get the best value for my money in whatever thing I purchase, and this obviously extends beyond audio gear 

I do, in fact. One of the reasons why I came here was to try and see if I can relate what I hear through the measurements posted on this site. I do appreciate that there's a place like this to get away from all the "noise" around.
