Peter recommended I sign up as well, so hello all!

I'm sure I know many of you and hope to have great discussions with all of you.

Best,

Thanks for the kind words, if anyone needs me for anything my cables are basically open source, ditto with sources for most of the materials, if there's something you want to build.  That being said, I'll be using my Head-fi honed not getting banned skills.

Although I could be convinced to send Changstar $1000 per month for an INDUSTRY INSIDER badge.

Though in your case we'll also accept cable porn

Welcome Peter.  Looking forward to adding your herringbone to my HD800.

All I can say for sure is the gold prevents oxidation and improves maleability.  The rest, who can say.

Btw, I smell a connection between Toxic cables and user Parrots.  Have any idea what the story is?

There is this tiny mafia of users of this 'Symphon1ca' (i being replaced with 1 to avoid googlespies) cables here in Asia (Mostly Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, where Jaben is). They use it on the HD650 and claims that with these, the HD650 are beyond insanely good.

The cable costs somewhere north of 400USD or if purchased with a HD650 from Jaben, about 325USD.

I like how users in this country calls them the greatest cable ever made (by this forumer who goes by the name of PcW0rks) Now there has been alot of literature about how the cable really pushes the limits of the HD650, far better than Moon Audio's or your own DHC cables. But whenever I posted about whats in it? nobody can answer. Nobody knows. 'Trade Secret'. All the creator and his minions would claim is that the highs become perfect, the mids become perfect and the bass..  ooohh the bass is perfect...

They do use Cardas' rhodium pronged plugs for the terminations.

I'm allergic to the word Cardas....

It's possible that not knowing what's in a cable increases your subjective enjoyment of it.  Although it's also possible that if you tell people exactly how your cables are built, the way I'm generally willing to (short of giving you the email addresses to all my vendors and partners) they may enjoy it more too.  Generally if the ingredients of the cable are shit, then not knowing might help you like it more.  Either these guys have figured out something so good that they can't share, or that they don't want you to know for other reasons.  If you really love your headphones, and you have the money, it never hurts to experiment & resell.  When someone calls out one of my cables as shit, like an expensive USB cable "DERP DERP ZEROES AND ONES GAIS" all I can really say is that either try it or don't buy it.  You don't have to be my friend or my customer, just do your own thing.  I got plenty of nasty comments when I provided all that information about the Apple cables to Gizmodo and CNN and Appleinsider and those sites linked my site, but nobody goes into a wine bar and starts pointing out that the $200 bottles are a terrible deal compared to their two buck Chuck.

You've seen the video where Cardas pontificates at T.H.E. SHOW? I think most of the guys in that room wanted to barf. I actually felt like beating the crap out of him, but just let out a quick interruption after I could stand his BS no more.

I bare witness to this. At T.H.E. SHOW Cardas forgot to take his verbal diarrhea meds.
