Also, fat became the villain and sugar was added to foods to make them taste less nasty without any fat. Now we have low/no fat food with lots of sugar. Turns out the human body has no problem processing fats, sugar not so much.

More bacon anyone?

Yup. They got it upside down. I read a quote from the head of a cardiac research hospital saying he would rather his patients eat bacon and eggs and skipped the toast. I also have read about developing a daily limit for sugar to put on food labels.

Also, I am passing on Egypt. The water in Anaheim causes problems for me.   :)p13

Skip sugar, go for honey. Fat is something you need in healthy doses and not in saturated form.

The worst part is that many people have lost their sense of taste/flavour. I grew up with the Surinam (mixed African, mixed Asian, mixed European) cuisine and there smell, flavour and "feel" are more important than "trends and hype." When food does not smell right, I refuse to eat it. Thankfully Dutch culture is very simple about food and variation and freshness trump "super foods" and "zero sugar" bullshit.

Who here does not have a wok? Really, get a wok.

This is a serious issue in Africa. Governments, companies and people all play a role and healthcare professionals are struggling.

The distrust and lack of access to modern medicine made the ebola outbreak among others even worse.
