Complimentary ADC to yggdrasil DAC
« on: May 09, 2015, 03:50:27 AM »

Open plea to Mike Moffat,

You have convinced me as to the superiority of R2R instrumentation DACs and the closed form recovery filter. Now we need the companion ADC for studio and live to capture the sounds without the D-S contamination. Only then will your vision be truly realized.

I think someone mentioned about multi bit ADC in one of Schiit thread in Head-Fi a long time ago. Jason seemed to think about it.

Good idea. Digitizing vinyl is also very popular these days, and it requires an ADC...

I've thought of this and would definitely buy one.

Good way to crack the pro-audio market which might also sell more balanced head/pre's as monitor controllers

Wasn't the GAIN system ridiculously large, heavy and expensive? (like... upwards of six figures?)
