If you've been following the history of the T2 builds, they have indeed been quite the science experiments.

i haven't. i didn't know of the T2 till yesterday. i have to read up on it. been recently reading up on Dr Matti Otala work but defiantly will read up the T2. sounds interesting.

Congrats Marv!!  Shure looks purdy!  Looking forward to see how much TP you need to stuff in your LCD-3 to get them on par with the 007...:-)

Sure does look pretty. I wonder how much your electricity bill will jump up after this.

So what tubes you in that bad boy purrin?  If I know you, you probably have at least $1k of tubes in there...  ;D

I've got a set of T2 boards, an RK50, KG's mounting brackets, and a full set of legit semi's sitting at my desk at home.  I should really start building it one of these days.

Anaxilus and I will are getting two more sets of boards as we speak. We should share knowledge and perhaps build them out for the next 12-18 months. We will need new chassis parts since KG is no longer making any more.

Out of curiosity, who are you guys getting your boards through?

Ujammerstand, Deepak and I all have boards and the semi's but we need to come up with something for the chassis still.  We found a nice heatsink that fits the bill perfectly, but need to design and have the panels fabricated.  We've come up with a nice concept of the case, but we've all been busy and have shelved the build since the beginning of the year.  Would be nice to get a group together to come up with a case design and do a GB.  We were thinking later this year we might pick up the case design again and get serious about it.

We be getting them from Lil Knight. We were thinking about getting a CNC machine...

Any recommendations for sources on the transistors and testing them?

We're getting a curve tracer from diya. Good to weed out the fakes. There's a place in japan that has a lot of the needed parts, I'll send a pm.

That is who we got our boards from as well.  Getting a CNC machine would be sweeeeet!  You might even be able to convince n3rdling to jump on board too with that sort of capability.

I bought almost all of my transistors from Bdent.com.  With all the fake parts floating around, I just didn't want to risk it to save a few bucks.  I got most of my parts last year (like the 3675's) and some of them are even more expensive now.  We also ordered a few of the parts direct from Japan like the SK216's and SJ74's.  Ujammerstand would know the details of where we got them, as he arranged the purchase of them.
