As you know, I had a good chance to hear two LLs at the Bay Area meet and I really liked it. I don't know what's in it, nor do I care if it's a fancy 323 or whatever. I still liked it. I have to agree with Anax that the T2 sounds like it takes the best of the BHSE and LL, and then more. The 007's aren't in yet for a more extended evaluation, but judging on what it's doing with the ESP950 (which I am very familiar with), it's a beast of a amp.

Steve, the guy who helped Andy build it, put it best - something about the gentility and roar of the ocean.

Wow.....

I want a listen!!!

It sure looks purdy!

Let me know how the project goes and if you need someone else to double check or individually test components. I've been silently following the T2 thread and it looks like the major issues have all been worked out. I may be getting a 2 1/2D router that may be able to cut aluminum in small quantities.

Wait until I get the 007s in next week. I bought Spritzer's mk2.5. I think Easter is a one week celebration in Iceland, so it's taking a while to get here.

Yes, I did buy it off Andy. I can't disclose the terms for a variety of reasons, which should be obvious.

This is the ONE amp I WOULDN'T want to build. Which reminds me, I should stock up on the harder to find spare parts just in case things go arcy-sparky over the long term.

Max, I am going to build at least 1 KGSSHV and then the DIYT2.  I've been waiting for a certain transistor to get back in stock at mouser - which just happened yesterday morning - so I'll be ordering all the parts for my KGSSHV build soon.  I now have pretty much all the transistors for all my builds plus extras, really a silly amount of sand.   :P  I want to finish my DIYT2 by the end of the year hopefully. :)

wow congrats!!!  The T2 is incredible, consider me jealous.

Thanks for the offer!  I'm gonna take my time with the build since I'm terrified of having to troubleshoot the damn thing. I plan to reread that entire thread and take notes of all the issues/tips people had since there's so much information there.  If you get that router, I'd definitely take you up on some help as the casework is the most daunting task to me.  I wish I went in on the original group buy since they ended up getting a custom chassis with everything pre drilled and tapped.  Your router would save me a ton of time.  What else do you plan to do with the router?

Any info on the parts used in your T2?

Yes you should do this. Though the reliable places are now charging out the nose for most parts, when I bought mine a couple of years ago buying 2.5x the required amount was only a couple hundred bucks more expensive given the price break discounts.

edit: though the amps should be pretty much stable if you followed the normal BOM (I know Andy did) and didn't do crazy things like putting Shinkoh's in series

Congrats Marv!!  Shure looks purdy!  Looking forward to see how much TP you need to stuff in your LCD-3 to get them on par with the 007...:-)
