I still really enjoy my 1540s even after I bought a pair of TH900s.  The 1540s are super comfortable and sound great, IMO.

Looking forward to Slant. But sound leakage is a real concern since I will be using them on very quiet places as well. Are they safe for libraries?

The Paradox and Slants use pads very similar to HM5 pads. They compress a lot and seal perfectly against your ear.

No problems with leakage and isolation with my Slants, as long as they are on your head.

You may just get some weird looks in the library, that's all.

I'd recommend LFF's headphones as well. Not a fan of MrSpeakers' headphones though.

Shure SRH1540s are good, almost "basshead" levels though and they actually leak a lot for being 'closed'... (almost Denon Dxxx levels of leakage).

LFF's Enigmas don't leak and I doubt his T50RP mods do either...

If you don't dislike in ears, go with that. More portable, just as isolating, and pretty much no leakage. I've switched to them for work (I have to do much of my research in libraries).

Get the Paradox Slants. I've owned almost every headphone mentioned in this thread and I can guarantee you'll end your journey at the damn Slants.

The AD sounds like shit to me. A coworker has the Vibro and it's even worse. I was hyped after reading on here but it's the worst of the commercial T50RP mods out there.

And before the usual suspects come in with terrible ears to talk about the vibration headphones and AD, let me give you some context:

It took me 2 weeks to decide I didn't like the AD. Ultimately there were too many little problems for me to like it. I had to take the ZMF off after 5 minutes because it sounded like trash. I'd take the FSP over the ZMF. Hell, I'd take a good t51p.

To each his own, but I could have used less bass emphasis in the upper-bass to low-mids on the Slant, more in the response below 100Hz. Just my tastes, though, they're definitely good and enjoyable. Absolutely recommended if you want that. I'm probably more of a regular Paradox guy. Surprised you found the ZxV worse than the AD, zerodeefex. Know when your coworker got their ZxV? I know some of the earlier tunings weren't great, also not sure on his V1/V2 T50RPs. All I know is the pair I tested sounded better than the AD to me in many ways. *shrug* (Not doubting your ears or what you heard, just gathering info to make sure any recommendations I give out have as much info and research put into them as possible.)

Agreed, Slants. Most enjoyable closed headphone I've heard/owned... and I've heard alot.
