Some of us westerners suffer conjunctivitis and acid reflux at the sight of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual. They're popular but usually for the wrong reasons with the wrong people (label whores). I find their aesthetic and detail lacking nuance and balance. Feng Shui for you easterners. Another thing is they scream stuck in the 70's to me like nothing else. I just feel their classic look is extremely dated and far from timeless. I mean is this 2011 or 1971-81?
I'd take a Grand Seiko over a Rolex any day.
That's a nice looking watch, Dave. The Grand Seikos are nice as well. It's neat that there are some many watch boutiques in NYC.
