Blue is the way to go. Also it makes things a lot more expensive, for some reason.

Those are generally better-looking Rolexes because . . . they don't look like Rolexes. Some have elongated Roman numerals though, which I see no reason for.

Google images shows people wearing only the white-faced version, probably because a black face with a black band has too little contrast. But I think the black-faced version would actually look understated and sharp on a black guy. (Maybe that's why Pres. Obama has a thing for black-faced watches and can pull off their look so well.)

Very nice. The 5130P is one of my favorite watches.

Ehhh. It's a bit gold chain for me.

I think it's the knurled bezel in gold that could set it over. If it were smooth it would balance better. I kind of like the face treatment and calendar movement for a Rolex though.  I don't think that takes it into full Guido mode. I think there's an Alfa Romeo charm to it overall.
