Dac for Sennheizer HD 800

Goodmorning everybody!! As  a new member of this forum i would like to introduse myself. I 'm from Greece and I'm 35 years old. I like listening to music mostly through my HD800 and my current system is : Laptop -Foobar-Benchmark Dac1-Lehmann Black Cube Linear-Sennheizer HD 800..Which part of this chain do you believe is the worst? I believe that the Benchmark does all the damage because trebles are always hard and i cant listen to music more than an hour, especially classical..Could you suggest a better dac for my ring please?  Thanks in advanse and excuse me for my English

I forgot to mention that I can't buy dac from USA or Asia. I prefer companies that have representer in Europe.Also my cash limit is about 3000 Euros (aprox. 4500 US dollars) Thank you!

If I had that kind of cash to burn on a DAC then probably I'd order one from a guy in Saint Petersburg. I believe he makes the most competent money-no-object DACs, but I'm not sure if this is an option for you.

First thing is the cheapest! Creatology foam and the Anaxilus mod if you have not done that yet...

Hi my friend!,

I think first things first you should take your time and read through the threads here that have relevance to the HD800...

It is true that the DAC you have is quite clinical to say the least... and as amplification is concerned although i like the BCL there are better amps around...

The Anaxilus mod is a must before you attempt anything else.  ahoy

Maybe we should have gear signatures so that people can see possible configurations.
