Schiit Press Release
« on: April 01, 2013, 05:15:45 PM »

Relaying a Schiit press release which was forwarded to me.

Hey guys,

When I said we’d only announce one-and-only breakthrough products, I wasn’t kidding. Today, I’m pleased to announce the new Schiit Glo, the world’s only atomic-powered portable headphone amplifier!

Featuring a 1.5 x 10E6 year half-life (or 15 million years for those more math-challenged folks), the Glo will never need charging, ever!

But that’s not all. With its innovative zero-point-energy gain stage, Glo produces infinite power at unmeasurable noise and distortion. Further innovations include 100% asbestos PC boards, proprietary mercury-tungsten solder, and lightweight beryllium chassis.

To ensure safe usage, we have an array of accessories planned, such as lead gloves for adjusting volume control, lead-lined carrying case with space for your iPhone or Android phone, a dosimeter, Geiger counter, and an app for tracking your exposure.

Furthermore, this debuts an entirely new feature of Schiit Audio—the lifetime warranty. We’re fully confident that Glo will last longer than you will!

It seems Headroom had identical idea, but schiit put much more work into it.

LOL!!

This is why I respect and like Jason and Schiit!
They're not ones to take their pages and information (FAQ) too seriously!

(I would love to own one...)

It seems all the units of the first run have been sold to a North Korean gentleman... Strangely enough he was only interested in having the remote controls sent to him. He was kind enough to suggest that he was willing let any interested Americans demo the units for him.

His only request was that anyone demoing a unit for him, let him know so he could "flip the switch !" Wow , what a nice guy :)p1

They are meant to be run as monoblocks like these:

The HE6 should be no problem.

We're working on a heavy-hydrogen add-on for that.

I always though that deuterium was more useful for its absorptive properties. How does this affect the damping factor?
