Been on a bit of a synth pop binge of late. This Dirty Vegas album is incredibly cheesy and mainstream, but there are some really catchy tunes here -

I have their single release of "Days Go By", it remains a favourite in my collection.

Right now Los Van Van, the two disc compilation "30 Years..." from 1999 produced by Rachel Faro. If you can sit still while listening to "Llegada" you are either deaf or the music doesn't affect you...

Do yourself a favor and listen to this.  You will not be disappointed.

Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells.
Part Two - with the unintelligible vocals - and the stupid Popeye ending.

Cat Power with dance synths on some tracks, weird.

Was listening to this a bit yesterday too. Definitely a bit strange to hear her like this, but nothing offensive. I couldn't get over how compressed the audio quality was though.

Who needs compression when you can sit outside and listen to the birds? :)p8 I guess the hangover had one adventage.

By the way, I have the "Brothers In Arms" album from 1985 from Phonogram London pressed in France. Does it matter where the CDs were pressed around that time?

@Rex

Interesting. Did that come out this year?

I listened to Revolution Vol. 2 a lot back in college. The one he did after that (3rd World, I think) wasn't very good so I stopped checking for him.

last year it did. i just heard about it about a week ago since i haven't listen to him much either for a long time. i found it browsing youtube ''recommended'' since past week i been listening to lot of hip-hop and trip-hop lately
