On vinyl:

Me too, last night! But my LP is in the cupboard, and even the vinyl rip was passed over in favour of the CD rip.

Before that,

Again, the vinyl is in the cupboard. It is one of those happy-story records. An LP can look perfect, but turn out to be unplayable, but the opposite is seldom true. This copy of Manassas looks like somebody had sand-papered all four sides. Consequently, it was rated as condition-very-bad and priced at pennies in the second-hand shop. I thought it was worth a try, and to my delight, it played with no major flaws from beginning to end.
Thank You, Reckless Records, Islington, London   :)p7

I have to admit that the CD sounds better, though  :)p8

I had to check this album out. Mark Knofler's guitar solo in "Sultans of Swing" is one of the better subtle solos.

If you consider one the pseudo sequel of the other, it kinda works.

Kirosia, the song "Style" is better than I expected. The guitar lick, thick bass line and synthesiser groove make the song a throwback 80ties jam, groovy and slow indeed. Taylor Swift's lyrics are not that interesting for me, too predictable yet well executed. I could listen to the instrumental and think "nice, I can lounge to this." Taylor Swift is becoming a Pop diva.

From what I've heard, all her recent singles haven't been written (entirely?) by her. I actually prefer her earlier work (much better lyrics), but I mean, five albums in and she's still listenable so. Although 1989 is relatively forgettable outside of the aforementioned singles (and Clean, which she wrote with Imogen Heap). And Style always makes me want to listen to Boys of Summer for some reason.

Six, this one is for you. I strangely love this eclectic yet coherent album.

I think I have to give DJ Shadow the treatment I gave the Doors and King Crimson. I feel I have to listen to all his albums in chronological order from start to finish. Six, my inner B-Boy wants to take the stage again...
