I know. I'm totally lame for finding music that existed years ago. I didn't see too many mentions of it, so here you go:

Think Sinead O'Conner, Kate Bush. Maybe tiny bit of Sarah MacLachlan.

A must have if you like Florence + The Machine...

along the lines of fabulous female vocalists:

it is a curiosity if you enjoy any of: annie clark, david byrne, playful brass wind ensembles. if you happen to enjoy all three it is quite enjoyable

edit: there are some sassy sax as well...

Ralph Towner: Solstice
I only recently discovered this truly incredible jazz album.  I first came across it when looking into the work of Eberhard Weber who plays bass and cello on this album.  The compositions (for the most part) are magnificent and in my opinion timeless which combined with the incredible recording quality make it hard to believe that this was released in 1975.  The one track that misses the mark for me is "Visitation"; more of an exploratory soundscape rather than structured jazz.  Irrespective of this I would buy the album again in a heartbeat - check out the drumming on "Piscean Dance".

Ryuichi Sakamoto: Three
I'm a huge Ryuichi Sakamoto fan.  The album "Three" was released in 2012 and as the title suggests is a collection of his work performed by the trio Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jaques Morelenbaum and Judy Kang.  The album has a very intimate and pure quality as compared his electronic and orchestral arrangements.  Sadly he is currently fighting throat cancer so best wishes to him.
