Tool with more dynamic range? Tool music that sounds as smooth and fun as old Iron Maiden albums?

I guess a volume matched picture is worth 10,000 words...

Kanye West – Black Skinhead - Digital Album Version (Explicit)
While I'm not a big fan of the whole album this track sounds pretty good on my omega 2's

Kagrra's album "San"

LFF, I have a soft spot for Tool but the squashed dynamics in their music required a lower listening volume and a K240 DF to enjoy their music. As such their music has remained largely untouched. It is terrible how some bands ruin their sound by making their music sound less pleasant than street sounds of a construction site. Rant over...

P.S. If you can find this album just get it. Their music is on par with some of my favourite Progressive Rock albums from the sixties and out of print for years now.

In Flames - The Jester Race from the S/T album from 1995
.
"Gothenburg" Death Metal was awesome before everyone sold out.

I'm getting older, and grumpier.

These guys are for real!

A little quirky but still heavy.  I like this one!

There are a few highlights, but I'm not hearing anything innovative... more of the same Eminem.

Los Van Van's "Songo" combines Cuban & Latin rhythms with a slightly 80ties sound in production. This album becomes better after every listen. I consider myself lucky to have the 1988 pressing...
