What's a good album to get by The Cure?  All I have is a random bunch of tracks my friend gave me.  I like their pop songs more than their crazy evil 80's robot stuff...

i prefer their darker stuff, but i would start off with "Head on the Door" and "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me".  any earlier albums may seed thoughts of slitting your wrists.  i think Disintegration is a classic, but still a bit moody.

I love not having heard a great album in a long time and then falling in love all over again. That's how I feel about this one right now:

I like the dark early trilogy of Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography, their best work for me, but I also love Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me and Disintegration. If you can get the Japanese remasters, they are the best quality Cure releases I've ever heard.

Nostalgia, in short "Last Train Home" by Lost Prophets" still gives me goosebumps, such a good song...
